Midwest Mattress expands outside of the Des Moines metro
WATERLOO, IA – Midwest Mattress is brand new to Waterloo, now open at 1245 Flammang Dr. Once exclusively a Des Moines metro retailer, the mattress store has expanded north eastward, giving more Iowans the foundation for a good night’s sleep. Another Midwest Mattress store will open in Cedar Falls in December.
Midwest Mattress offer a variety of styles and brands of mattresses to comfort even the lightest of sleepers. The store provides high quality brands like Serta, Restonic and HealthCare at affordable prices. Bed frames, pillows, mattress protectors and adjustable bases are also available at the Waterloo location.
Midwest Mattress has grown to six locations since 2004. The company was founded by two Iowa businessmen who had worked in the mattress industry before and found that one giant pitfall in the “big chain” mattress stores was the lack of honesty on sales and advertising matters. Midwest Mattress was founded on the key values of transparency and affordability. The company has eliminated the commissions, spiffs, and co-operative advertising commonly built into today’s mattress prices.

Midwest Mattress is proud of their Iowa roots, and 90 percent of the mattresses they offer are made in Iowa. They offer a line of 2-sided, flippable beds, by Consumer Digest Award winner Restonic, which are manufactured in Toledo, IA, as well as offering beds from industry leader Serta, which are manufactured in Clear Lake, IA.
