Ankeny Summerfest Parade 2011

 July 9, 2011, Ankeny, Iowa- This Saturday Midwest Mattress participated in its 3rd Ankeny Summerfest parade. The theme this year was "Just what the doctor ordered." Parade goers reported seeing monkeys handing out candy but none jumping on mattresses thus making the doctor unnecessary.  

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

Jump in Bed with Bon Jovi

May 12 2011, Des Moines, Iowa- Midwest Mattress and Star 102.5 gave Bon Jovi fans an opportunity to "Jump in bed with Bon Jovi" before the Wells Fargo Arena show last Thursday. Beds for Weary Heads

June 15 2009, Des Moines, Iowa- Lutheran Services in Iowa's (LSI) Refugee Cooperative Services (RCS) recently raised $20,000 for it "Beds for Weary Heads" program for refugees. The money raised will be used to purchase 200 bed sets for refugees resettled to Des Moines by LSI. The beds are being provided to RCS by Ken Akers of Restonic Mattress in Toledo, Iowa. The sets have been provided at a greatly reduced price and will include a mattress, box spring, and bed frame. Restonic Mattress's retail partner Midwest Mattress has also been very supportive of the project. "We firmly believe in giving to fellow Iowans and Iowa causes since we are an Iowa manufacturer," said Akers. "This was an opportunity to help out with a great cause. LSI is giving families and children a bed to sleep on, and that is a great program that we wanted to support."
